Percussion

Our Percussion Program helps students develop rhythm, coordination, timing, discipline, and confidence through structured practical training. Students are guided step by step as they learn proper technique, stick control, rhythm patterns, music reading, listening skills, and performance preparation.

Whether a student is completely new to percussion or already has some experience, the program is designed to help them grow at their own pace. Students learn how to keep steady time, play grooves, understand basic notation, develop hand and foot coordination, and perform confidently with other musicians.

At Laudem, percussion is taught as more than just playing beats. Students are trained to become disciplined musicians who can listen, support an ensemble, follow musical structure, and perform with confidence in different styles of music.

Program includes:

  • Percussion technique and posture
  • Stick control and hand coordination
  • Rhythm reading and timing development
  • Ear training and listening skills
  • Music theory foundations
  • Grooves, fills, and musical patterns
  • Hand percussion and drum set foundations
  • Ensemble playing and teamwork
  • Performance and recital preparation
  • Trinity exam preparation where applicable

Ideal for: Beginners, young musicians, teens, adults, and students who want to build strong rhythm skills and become confident percussionists.
